Dr. Jade Noyes

 

Practice Owner, Veterinarian.

Jade was born and raised in North Wales UK, and moved to Adelaide in 2010. She completed her veterinary studies in Roseworthy SA, whilst also working for an equine veterinarian, and moved to Benalla in January 2021. After falling in love with the area and community, Jade purchased the clinic from Kate in 2025. She has a love for all creatures big and small, and especially loves horse work and small animal surgery. Jade has a menagerie of pets, including her loyal groodle Summer, cocker spaniel Darcy (aka the clinic therapy dog), and the most adoring golden retriever Filly, 2 cats, 2 pet cows, 3 Alpacas, potty lamb and her 3 horses. Jade enjoys hiking, baking, teaching horse riding lessons and riding her horses in her spare time!

Dr. Elise Sadler

Veterinarian.

Elise grew up on a horse property in the Yarra Valley and has been surrounded by animals large and small from a young age. Elise completed her studies at the University of Melbourne, graduating with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
She joined the team in early 2025 and has a keen interest in all things mixed practice. At home, she cares for a lively menagerie including her cat Pudge, dogs Bjorn, Daphne and Star, horses Topaz and Hope, and her poddy calf Helga. In her spare time, Elise enjoys basketball and horse riding.

Simone Lewis

Practice manager and Veterinary nurse.

Simone grew up in Gisborne and moved to a deer farm in North East Victoria after completing a Diploma of Agriculture. During this course, Simone enjoyed halter training and showing Murray Grey and Scottish Highland Cattle. With the bug for showing and all things cattle, Simone joined the Wangaratta Show Society and been heavily involved in the show for the last 18+ years.

Simone is also and active member of the CFA and was the Australia Day local achiever of the year in 2019.

Simone has 3 children, 8 horses, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. On weekends she enjoys trail riding in the high country with her family

Sophia Martin-Burgers

Veterinary nurse
Sophia grew up in the quiet and beautiful town of bright before moving to Wangaratta in 2016. She adores her Border Collie, Blue, and has had him since 2019. She has worked 4 years in retail, 3 of which at Pets Domain Wangaratta. She has completed her Certificate II in Animal care and Certificate IV in veterinary Nursing.

She loves learning about canine behavior and training and spends the majority of her spare time training and developing her Border collie Blue.

Jo Bayard  

Receptionist and Vet assistant.

Growing up on a farm shaped who Jo is and gave her a lifelong love of animals- large and
small. Jo and her husband made Goorambat their home 20 years ago, along with a large
herd of cows, a handful of horses and some very special dogs and cats.
Alongside life on the farm, she feels privileged to work at Barkly St Vets, in reception.
Combining her passion for animals with helping people, she enjoys meeting our clients and
their much- loved pets.
When she’s not at work you will probably find her riding her horse, pottering around in the
garden or relaxing with a good book. Where ever she is, her Jack russels Harvey and Wilson are never far away- as loyal companions and enthusiastic supervisors.

Emma Beattie


Veterinary Nurse.

Emma grew up in Rutherglen, Victoria, and has always had a strong love for all animals. She began working in the veterinary field at 18 and completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in September 2025. Emma joined the Barkly Street Vets team in March 2026.

Emma particularly enjoys patient care, emergency/critical care and has a special love for cats. At home, Emma is kept busy by Bindi, her German Shepherd cross and self-appointed expert in finding new ways to cause trouble, along with her two cats, Cricket and Squid. Outside of work, Emma loves travelling, camping and 4x4 driving with her partner as well as spending time with her pets.

Matisse Medovarsky-Dimitrovski


Veterinary Technician.

Matisse will be graduating from Charles Sturt University in 2026 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology. She previously went to school in Ballarat before moving to Wagga Wagga for university. Matisse joined the team in early 2026 and is loving the mixed practice and large animal veterinary work. Outside of work, Matisse loves getting outdoors with her Kelpies, whether that's camping, surfing, fishing, or exploring somewhere new. She hopes to spend more time travelling around Australia and the rest of the world. She is on a mission to find the best parma and beer going round.
